Building with SPECA🛠️ We recently incorporated SPECA's AI-powered analysis by @NyxFoundation into our development workflow to help surface potential issues before deployment. Excited to see AI becoming a practical tool for building more secure blockchain infrastructure. ❓What is SPECA? SPECA stands for Specification-to-Checklist Agentic Auditing Framework, an Ethereum Foundation grant recipient. Unlike traditional code-driven tools, SPECA starts from natural language specifications and extracts typed security properties such as invariants, preconditions, postconditions, and assumptions. It then uses structured threat modeling and proof-attempt reasoning to detect gaps between the specification and implementation. 🪽SPECA at Pheasant Network We recently used SPECA during the development of our ERC-7683 integration. Unlike traditional code-focused tools, SPECA starts from specifications and verifies whether implementations actually satisfy the intended properties. This approach helps uncover gaps that may not be visible through pattern-based analysis alone. As interoperability standards become more complex, specification-driven security reviews are becoming increasingly valuable.
