@ponlypone I mean there's signs, people like to consider the issue of Reid's sword coming out for Subaru as a major foreshadowing but I think otherwise, at least how it was presented in this arc. Rein is constantly evaluating. Balance of power is so cooked that even Russell can't ignore it

@pickdanger Who's gonna take over the Sword Saint role then... Heinkel? It's so difficult on this part because no one can best Rein in this role & even if someone 'dethrones' him, with his current mentality, he is still gonna cling strongly to it The only way is indeed to reform the system

funny that we're on volume 44 and Subaru still hasn't shown up on a single cover 🥀 at this point it's pretty obvious they're saving him for the final volume to do a full circle moment with volume 1

@pickdanger If Emilia wasn’t looking like Satan reincarnated, her camp would have won the selection already. Wasn’t the credit for Priestella mostly went to Subaru, that plus them killing 2 great beasts and Vollachia (White whales might be a share one but Subaru still get lot of credit)
