Sara Worsham successfully defended her Master's thesis titled, "Phonological Skills in Developmental Stuttering." Her project explored phonological skills in children who stutter compared to children who do not stutter. . Congratulations to Sara!

Congrats to Rena Li for successfully defending her master's thesis! The study examined the feasibility to quantify physiology of sequential swallowing of mildly thickened liquids in 5 healthy adults and compare temporal and spatial kinematics to thin liquid sequential swallows.

Jasmine Cardino successfully defended her master's thesis entitled, Family, Culture, and Care: Filipino Families' Experiences with Early Intervention Speech-Language Therapy Services (Advisor: Dr. Leah Fabiano, Committee Members: Drs. Nancy Gauvin and Joe Ashenden). #PittCSD

Congratulations to Hannah Kirsch on her successful defense of her master's thesis on measuring the effects of semantic relatedness on aphasia treatment response!

Congratulations to Hannah Fleytekh on her successful defense of her master's thesis on sleep measurement in aphasia! She and #PittCSD PhD student Emily Goldberg used self-reported and wrist-worn sleep-tracking measures to examine sleep function in over 20 people with aphasia!

The Pitt/UPMC Communication Van is back on the road! Dr. Palmer and Dr. Parker were joined by AuD students Ave Cherico, Cate Dymowski, and Maddie Gillis and a special appearance Dr. Luke Berenbrok! at Roots of Faith, to provide free hearing testing and hearing aid fittings.
