Glad to share that through ‘Operation RAGEPILL’, our agencies have achieved the first-ever seizure of Captagon, the so-called “Jihadi Drug”, worth ₹182 crore. The busting of the drug consignment destined for the Middle East and the arrest of a foreign national stand out as shining examples of our commitment to zero tolerance against drugs. I repeat we will clamp down on every gram of drugs entering India or leaving the country using our territory as the transit route. Wrapped up today's engagements with a review of the Steering Committee for Advancing Local Value-add and Employment (SCALE) roadmap and growth opportunities across toys, footwear, furniture, machinery manufacturing, medical devices, food processing and petrochemical sectors. Emphasised the need for working to significantly advance the manufacturing sector by enhancing value-add to further strengthen exports, and create more job opportunities.

Visited the International Training Centre for Food Safety & Applied Nutrition (ITCFSAN) and reviewed the initiatives of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) aimed at strengthening food safety standards and regulatory capacity. Undertook an assessment of the initiatives to expand regulatory & analytical training. Emphasised scaling up capacity building for regulators & laboratories, and reviewed the Export Inspection Agency's efforts to strengthen quality assurance for India's food exports. 📍Andheri East, Mumbai

Visited the office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Mumbai, and inspected the office premises to explore the possibility of co-locating various offices under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry under one roof. An integrated institutional set-up will further improve ease of doing business, enable faster decision-making, and strengthen service delivery mechanisms.

This is totally false. Not an iota of truth in this. There is no question of putting such restrictions on foreign travel. We remain committed to improving ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and ‘Ease of Living’ for our people.

Interacted with fisherwomen representatives and officials at @IIP_Packaging today and commended the remarkable contribution of FFPO (Fish Farmer Producer Organization) fisherwomen towards strengthening India’s fisheries sector and advancing the vision of a vibrant and inclusive Blue Economy. Emphasized the need to promote village-level cooperative associations and encourage deep-sea fishing supported by integrated processing units to drive employment generation, enhance value addition and ensure greater economic prosperity across coastal communities.

Visited the Mega Common Facility Centre at SEEPZ in Mumbai today and witnessed the work being done to boost India's Gems and Jewellery sector. With access to advanced technology and training, the facility is helping manufacturers, exporters, MSMEs, and artisans improve quality, boost productivity, and become more globally competitive. It is strengthening India's manufacturing ecosystem in the sector and also enhancing its export capabilities by creating a future-ready workforce.

Held a productive meeting with senior officials of various offices of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry operating in Mumbai. Deliberated on ways to co-locate all these offices to enable greater coordination, seamless functioning & improved service delivery, in line with the Modi Government’s focus on enhancing ease of doing business and ease of living. Also, discussed how this transformation will help reduce administrative duplication, optimise shared infrastructure, and create a seamless one-stop ecosystem for exporters, MSMEs & startups. 📍ECGC Bhawan, Mumbai

This UAE visit also saw the conclusion of key agreements across vital areas such as energy, defence, infrastructure, shipping and advanced technology, giving fresh impetus to the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. In another important development, UAE announced investments worth USD 5 billion in India. This will further deepen economic ties.

Had excellent discussions with my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Reiterated our strongest condemnation of the attacks on the UAE. Also appreciated my brother’s leadership, courage and wisdom, which have been evident throughout this period. Chaired a meeting on music licensing for public performances, aimed at streamlining and simplifying the licensing process. The deliberations brought together key stakeholders from the music, hotel and event management sectors to discuss rationalisation of music tariffs, measures to improve ease of doing business, and ways to strengthen compliance through constructive and collaborative engagement.
