Calling it a ‘vanity war’ (or ‘cold war’) turns normal political scrutiny into something pathological. It’s not. This misses the point that it’s actually a necessary stress test before facing Ford
Evan Scrimshaw@EScrimshaw

“You want to fight about Nate’s vision? Go ahead. But if your only interest is in fighting vanity wars you’re helping Ford, and you’re going to have to live with that. Don’t help Doug, or don’t say you’re being a team player. But you can’t claim the latter while doing the former”

@EagleRiver28 When a party is at 6-8% in the polls, small gains among first time voters can have big impacts

If Dr. Seuss wrote about this, it would go something like this In Scarborough Southwest, the story was great, Of a sudden new contest, a twist of fate— For Dolly Begum had chosen to vacate, Her MPP seat, to federally migrate. So provincially now, the Liberals debate, Who’d carry their banner, who’d represent. A nomination! A race! A wide-open gate! A moment, you’d think, to… participate! And who should appear, with timing first-rate? Why, none other than well-spoken Nate. Who’d long said with passion, both early and late: “To build something better—you must participate!” “Participate! Participate!” he’d say with a grin, “Jump up! Join in! Let the best voices win!” “Democracy thrives when we all congregate— So come one, come all—yes, participate!” But then came the crowd—oh, the crowd came in spate! With hopefuls aplenty to challenge Nate. They signed up, stepped forward, refused to abate— Each eager, quite eager, to participate. And Nate cleared his throat, recalibrated his state, Then offered a message… polite—but first-rate: “Well yes, you should join, it’s important, it’s great… But maybe not everyone should participate.” “Participate—if your name happens to be Nate! Participate—if you think Nate is just great! Participate—if you’ll help Nate’s mandate! But if not… perhaps… you should hesitate.” “If you’re not quite aligned, or you’d complicate fate, Or you’re running to win (which I wouldn’t rate), Then maybe step back, don’t accelerate— This might not be your time to participate…” Now voters all blinked at this curious trait, This loop-de-loop logic, this lyrical state— For the champion loud of “participate!” Seemed to edit the guest list… a little too late. Oh Nate, dear Nate, it’s a puzzling slate, A slogan well-loved, now bent by debate— For calling all voices to join and create Rings different when rivals are told… “wait.” So here is the lesson, both tidy and straight: If you call on the world to participate, Be sure that your meaning can hold up its weight— #onpoli #olpldr

Dude, use some critical thinking. Come on. 🤔 Ask yourself the following: 1. In a province of over 5,000,000 people... 2. He called and completed a provincial ballot question with say 20,000 people? 🤷🤷🤷 3. Where about 9000 said they would vote for the Conservatives in BC? 4. Then, of a total universe of about 15,000 current Conservative Party of BC Members in a province of 5,000,000++.... And also part of the 9,000 voters he completed a survey with that would vote Conservative.... ***He found more than 15% of all the Conservative Party of BC Members in his poll he conducted over a couple of days and nearly 1/3rd of the Conservative voters he spoke to were also members or going to become a member??? 😜😜😜 Seriously? Like, seriously? How does that make any sense what-so-ever? It's not possible. If he was using some list that was NOT Gen Pop then maybe..... Maybe I would be convinced if he was using old BC Liberal lists or something of that nature.... 👏👏👏 But why use a list that's not Gen Pop and also not use the current Members list - which is fresh and up to date? 🫠🫠🫠 I was born at night, but not last night...😜😜😜 IMO, his results are not reflective of the current membership.❎❎❎ And time will tell.⌚🍌🍌🍌 We'll let ya know when we hit $1,000,000 raised from supporters.... And we can ask Milobar what he's raised. 🥒🥒🥒
