Breaking news Golden Arrows apologise after offensive post aimed at Chiefs star Golden Arrows have apologised after one of their social media staff members published an offensive post ahead of Sunday's MTN8 clash against Kaizer Chiefs. The controversial post, written in isiZulu, read: "Shezi ngeke ahlulwe ukumaka isishawa (Shezi will be able to mark the person with Albinism)." It was later deleted after it sparked outrage on social media. Although the post did not mention anyone by name, many supporters believed it was directed at Kaizer Chiefs winger Luke Baartman, who lives with albinism. The word "isishawa" is a derogatory isiZulu slur used against people living with albinism. Golden Arrows, through their UPBACKTHROUGH PODCAST platform, quickly distanced themselves from the post and confirmed disciplinary action had been taken. "UPBACKTHROUGH PODCAST would like to apologise for harm caused to citizens, to a specific group of people, and to Kaizer Chiefs for one of our previous posts. It does not reflect who we are and severe action has been taken against the relevant person," read the club's statement. The incident comes just days before Arrows host Chiefs in a highly anticipated MTN8 quarter-final on Sunday.
