Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez recently attended the “Policing in America: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” seminar at Harvard Law School, exploring the history, challenges, and evolving role of policing in a democratic society. PPD remains committed to continued learning, professional development, and strengthening trust with the community we serve.

The Providence Police Department was proud to team up with Washington Trust for their annual Peanut Butter Drive, a long-standing tradition supporting local hunger relief efforts. Donations collected will benefit the Comprehensive Community Action Program and help families in need throughout our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this effort a success!
