@puckinghell_ I can't blame her for turning down being a squad CB option when she is good enough to start at LB still for top sides. I am fine with Ona replacing her as she is also a top level LB and younger but Katie is going to smash it elsewhere too

@ally_wood82 this is exactly where my brain is at, we can obviously never know the full ins and outs of what's been on the table but it's cast a slight shadow over her departure for sure

@puckinghell_ The thing is, we all knew she was going until recently and rationally Ona for her does make sense (neither's salary or status is those of a back up) but to lunge in and offer her a squad CB place at the death, denying her a proper send off and getting her fans hopes up sucks

actually don't have the words right now to sum up what katie mccabe has meant to this club, I don't think there's anyone on that pitch that connects with the fans every single week the way she has because the love of the badge has always been so equally shared ❤️
