@MrMidniteOwl @screentime I'm doing the exact same thing by making up nonsensical plot devices like child HAL 9000 and fitting two games in one movie? You can make an adaptation with changes that feel natural and fit the setting, genre and feel of the game. Or you can make whatever the hell this was.

@PuppetCombo @screentime Keep in mind, I'm playing Devil's advocate. But you've just done the exact thing every prior writer for Resident Evil has done. In that case, it's really easy to adapt any game. No disrespect intended. I think every fan has their level of comfort on what can be changed.

@PuppetCombo @screentime With all due respect, it's easy to adapt a video game to a movie if you change major parts of the game to make it work. You proved my point. You have to change the events of the game to make the story work for you (Alpha team and Bravo team went to the mansion 24 hours apart).

@PuppetCombo @screentime RE1 suffers from a lack of logical story progression. Everything is dictated by "Go here because nowhere left to go". RE2 (written by a movie screenwiter) built the story and characters to have logical motivations to proceed to each area. Still like RE1 though.
