@niftygateway About time! Great to see NG finally changing course and prioritizing curation. I warned them many months ago when they launched the publishers program that curation was key but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Awesome that they finally listened! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

GM. We’d like to share some changes that we’ve made to our Publisher program. NG Publishers was launched to empower creators with simple and accessible tools to curate and release NFT collections. While we are committed to the power of this tool and its future evolution 👀 it has become abundantly clear that we need to implement the proper guardrails to help sustain the quality, curation, and long-term health of the Nifty Gateway ecosystem. Nifty Gateway is laser-focused on the long game. For us, that means bringing to market high-quality artwork that people can trust and feel confident in collecting. Not only is this something we believe in, but it is something that our community has been overwhelmingly vocal about as well. We hear you. And it is with this in mind that we have decided to part ways with some of our Publishers today - we understand that this is difficult news for some members of our community. Please know that a great deal of deliberation and careful thought went into this decision.

When I love an artist, I go all in.That’s why I had to take down all 4 pieces of @raoulmarks in his recently concluded curated drop in @niftygateway. Not only that, I have collected all 9 of his works in his PopZero series. Nothing beats a loyal bond between artist & collector.🫡

Here’s a photo of the framed metal print I received from @cathsimard_ for being one of the 11 winners of her drop “See You on the Other Side” in @niftygateway last August 2022. What I find priceless is her handwritten note, thanking me for supporting her. Art + soul = me 💎 🙌🏽

@dccockfoster @_Fan3_ @niftygateway It’s the job of NG to have a high-level screening process for someone to be approved as a publisher in NG. Sorry to say too many mediocre publishers being approved in the platform, leading to too many drops that are not even worth looking at

@_Fan3_ @niftygateway It's the job of the publisher releasing content to create demand! And from the data so far, publishers have done a good job bringing in distinct audiences for their drops @_Fan3_ should we go further and boost content based on how well a publisher generates demand?

I love @niftygateway and I’m proud to be a publisher. Congratulations to all those joining the programme. BUT… How are we going to create the demand for all this extra supply?

From the vault: This isn’t a photo. This is a piece drawn in charcoal and ink by the one I deem as the greatest living charcoal artist #RobertLongo. I first discovered him when I saw his work displayed in the Broad Museum in LA. This hangs in the bedroom, my daily must-view. 💎🙌🏽

@dccockfoster @_Fan3_ @niftygateway Ultimately it’s always about the quality over quantity. I’d rather see fewer drops but with top-tier talent/artists, rather than see a multitude of drops but with so-so talent.

@dccockfoster @_Fan3_ @niftygateway My two cents’ worth- it will become a slippery slope once NG starts doing multiple drops a day, especially with all the new publishers being onboarded. Maybe two different drops a day is ok, more than that and you’ll be faced with much more supply than demand, esp. in this 🐻 mkt
