Q104 UPDATE: Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the Liberals will suspend the federal fuel excise tax on gas, diesel and aviation fuel starting on Apr. 20th until Labour Day.
The PM says this will remove up to 10 cents per litre on gasoline and 4 cents per litre on diesel fuel.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Order of Sport Recipient and Hall of Famer Nancy Garapick. In Cali, Colombia in 1975, Nancy Garapick was beyond numbers. She was simply the best story of the World Aquatic Games. It had all happened so quickly. In four months she'd climbed from 38th in the world in the 200-metre backstroke to the world-record holder. At the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games, Nancy was Canada’s only double medallist, claiming two Bronze Medals. She was awarded the Order of Sport and inducted into Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. ___ Nous sommes profondément attristés d'apprendre le décès de Nancy Garapick, récipiendaire de l'Ordre du sport et membre du Panthéon des sports canadiens. En 1975, à Cali en Colombie, Nancy Garapick était beaucoup plus qu'un numéro. Elle était la meilleure histoire que les Championnats mondiaux aquatiques avaient connue. Tout est arrivé très vite. Dans l'espace de quatre mois, elle est passée du 38e rang au monde à l'épreuve de 200 mètres dos, au titre de détentrice du record mondial.
