It was a pleasure to attend Councillor Faduma Mohamed’s mayor-making ceremony yesterday. She is the first hijab-wearing British Somali woman to become The Worshipful Mayor of Ealing and her speech carried a powerful message about representation and being a role model for others.

Really enjoyed this conversation and taking a moment to reflect. My time at @LSEsociology shaped so much of who I am today and the direction I’ve taken.
