♀️✊Across the world, Indigenous women are organizing for their rights, their communities, and their forests. In the North Pakaraimas mountains of #Guyana, Surujani Robinson and other Patamona women came together to address the challenges faced by women. Through the Patamasan Protectors of I'na Pata (PPIP), they are advancing women’s leadership, promoting gender equality, and confronting gender-based violence in their communities. Learn more about Surujani and the women organizing in Guyana in our new story. Read more rainforestfoundation.org/indigenous-wom…

👀 Segunda parte pronto.

🌱 In 2025, fires in Brazil’s Amazon dropped by 78%, reaching the lowest levels since 2019. 9.5 million acres of Brazil’s Amazon rainforest burned last year, this is roughly 50 times the land area of New York City. While still alarming, this represents a dramatic 78% reduction compared to 2024. 🔗 Visit our Amazon Fires page to learn more. rainforestfoundation.org/engage/brazil-…

💸A new report from the UN Environment Programme highlights a sobering reality: for every $1 invested in protecting nature, $30 is spent driving its destruction. Indigenous peoples and local communities are among the most effective forest stewards on the planet, yet receive a tiny fraction of the finance meant to protect nature.

Amazonian stingless bees now have legal rights in parts of Peru 🐝 New laws recognize their right to exist and thrive. These native bees are essential to tropical forests and are responsible for up to 90% of pollination in parts of the Amazon. A major step forward for the #RightsOfNature movement. Via @SmithsonianMag

Indigenous peoples are on the frontlines of this crisis, leading the fight to protect forests, their territories, and the planet we all depend on. ➡️Visit our website to learn more about ways you can support. rainforestfoundation.org/no-forests-no-…
