A lot of artists feel pressure to constantly produce something new, especially in a culture shaped by short attention spans and the constant demand to stay visible.
But the artists whose work stays with me are usually the ones who take their time. They return to certain themes, visual languages, subjects, or mediums, explore them from different angles, and slowly build an interesting and differentiating body of work.
You can feel when something comes from a place of patience rather than pressure. In a world full of AI slop, anyone can generate one good image. Building a real body of work is much harder to fake.
Ahahah yes ! But at least I don't have to see the other one’s political opinions every day on my feed. IG is also designed for sharing visuals. And the algorithm is still much better than here.+ If you want to see an artist's work, go to their profile and you can see all their works at a glance.
I see less and less great art on my timeline. At first I thought it was just the algo. But I’m starting to realize it might be something else.
More and more artists seem to have gotten discouraged from posting. Sharing their work every day into the void, slowly getting overwhelmed by the feeling that no one is seeing it or caring anyway.
And when artists stop sharing, we all lose. A lot of great art simply disappears from our timelines.
So please share the art you see and love. Even if it’s just a retweet, a reply, or a small thread about it.
Anything helps!
@franceinter
@ace5c4d@RaoufArts Thanks guys! A deformer I had never tried before. It's great to keep discovering basic things after all these years. The magic of self-learning.😄
