Richland County Sheriff's Department attended today’s Peace Officers Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office. Among those remembered was the father of RCSD’s own Major Chris Potter, killed in the line of duty on Feb. 21, 1974.

On Law Enforcement Memorial Day, we honor the deputies we’ve lost in the line of duty - heroes whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Their watch has ended, but their legacy lives on. 🖤
