The issue is companies removing any and all friction to get the widest audience possible. Many hard modes rely on NG+, have bigger enemy health pools, bosses with different mechanics, etc., but it's hard to feel it when you're healed after every fight or can auto save everywhere.

i think hard modes should be treated like the intended way to play a game and it sucks thats not a common sentiment. theres legit too many complaints around certain games that are clearly the person playing a lower difficulty

Really surprised at how much more common it is for students to submit AI written work this semester vs last semester. Perhaps it’s just due to the distribution of students I have but it could also be due to increasing reliance on machines that do the thinking for them.
