The delegate’s are appointed by the the premier league that could be an ex-player or manager marking the referees performance,at present the premier league & championship do not have an assessor at the game PGMOL will appoint an evaluator but they are not at the game they also may have a coach present

@PercyArmsDisco @RefereeHalsey @HACKETTREF I just don’t see this happening though. And we’ve heard Steve Howie on Radio Newcastle earlier this season defending some obviously wrong decisions also.
There’s a major element of protectionism within that whole setup imo. You never see an official relegated.

@IanDarke Don’t agree Ian,if law was applied correctly and consistently with holding/grappling then this wouldn’t be happening foul given on Raya then penalties have to be given when there is a similar offence against an attacker

@Rob51coys @4huntA @TheSunFootball Hi Rob if referee’s applied law correctly on all holding offence’s we wouldn’t have this problem,yes it was a foul on Raya but referees have got to be consistent and give penalties when simular offences occur against attacker’s

@4huntA @TheSunFootball @RefereeHalsey This holding OFFENCE started several yards earlier and continued several yards after the point in the still shot.
There were other offences also being committed.
If VAR is going to microscopically re-referee then they MUST do so in accordance with the laws of the game!

@TheSunFootball @RefereeHalsey Assuming you are correct. There have been many goals scored by Arsenal this season in very similar circumstances that - on today’s show should also have been ruled out but weren’t . I have no faith at all in the officials operating VAR.
