Congress passed the most significant housing affordability bill in decades. Trump is refusing to sign it into law. He does not care at all about lowering housing prices.

As I’ve said from the start: Trump had no authority to remove Federal Reserve Board Governor Dr. Lisa Cook. The Federal Reserve is independent. It doesn’t answer to Donald Trump. His attempt to fire Dr. Cook was an illegal power grab and yet another unprecedented attack on the Federal Reserve’s independence and our economic stability. This ruling is an important win, but Trump’s campaign to bring the Federal Reserve under his thumb is far from over. We will continue to use every tool available to push back.

Today, this extremist Supreme Court gave Trump the green light to strip away temporary protected status from hundreds of thousands of people who cannot safely return to their home countries. TPS holders registered with the government, passed background checks, and trusted the process. Now, they're at risk of deportation. People fleeing danger deserve compassion, not cruelty. Congress needs to pass the American Dream and Promise Act to protect our immigrant communities and provide a pathway to citizenship.

Congress has the power and the responsibility to protect these communities. We must implement more humane and just immigration policies with a pathway to citizenship.

These rulings not only further undermine the fundamental right to asylum, they also put thousands of TPS holders in danger - our neighbors who registered with the government, were vetted, and trusted the process. The cruelty is the point for this Administration.
