I am excited to announce that I have secured over $14 million in federal funding for key projects throughout the Eighth District! These projects will bolster infrastructure, public safety, housing, and more for our communities.

The Specialty Crop Research Initiative and Specialty Crop Block Grant Program provide essential support for orchardists and growers across Washington. I’ve proudly gone to bat for these programs and will continue to work in Congress to support producers in the Eighth District.

I visited Mount Si High School this week with Superintendent Dan Schlotfeldt to meet with their fantastic students and teachers about new school programming and resources for kids.

This week, I celebrated the over $1 million in federal dollars I secured for the Covington Water District Reservoir Construction Project, which will build a safe new reservoir for the community. This project will ensure water is delivered and securely stored in the event of an earthquake. Thanks to the local leaders who joined me to tour the site!

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and the Farm to School Grant Program are critical to our food supply chain, farmers, local food banks, and schools. This is good news. The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest is hiring crew members following the Trump Administration’s devastating Forest Service cuts last year. The Enchantments are a cherished part of the Eighth District, and new staff in the area will keep visitors safe and protect our environment in #WA08.
