People often seem to forget how fucking big China is. Yes, people in richer provinces use VPN all the time. Meanwhile the police in the poorest provinces do be prosecuting people for using VPN from time to time… so they get to collect that delicious bail money.

Can we stop the "China is either hell or heaven" trope? It's just a… normal country. It has conversion camps in poorer 3rd tier cities. MEANWHILE, Chinese trans people can get legal gender reaffirmation surgery and updated their government IDs in Shanghai. Reality is gray.

I was just in China. Proof Pic attached. I saw a Chinese citizen get into a verbal altercation with a member of the government about a traffic light and they were cussing the whole government out in front of an official building. They definitely have free speech.

There should’ve been some actually “beginner” drawings I made but ‘13 is the earliest I can find I actually started drawing around 6. My teacher was mad i kept drawing on the textbook and asked me to 1:1 copy every single illustrations in that textbook… and I did.
