Dear RUSD Community, The lockdown at Rialto High School has been lifted. After a thorough check of the campus, San Bernardino Police Department confirmed there was no threat on campus. The all clear has been given, and regular school operations have resumed.

Last night, at the direction of the Rialto Unified School District Board of Education and Interim Superintendent Dr. White, Simpson Elementary School was opened as a shelter for families displaced in the apartment complex fire off of Cactus Avenue in Rialto. Thank you to our local firefighters, the Red Cross, District and school leaders, and parent volunteers.

Eisenhower High School is on a precautionary lockdown. The Rialto Police Department is working with the Rialto Unified School District. Principal Kristal Henriquez Pulido has notified families. We will provide an update when PD releases more information. Thank you for your support.

Earlier today, Rialto High School was placed on lockdown out of an abundance of caution due to the reported threat of an active shooter. During the lockdown, students and staff remained safe at all times. San Bernardino PD confirmed there were no active shooters, no shots fired, and no weapons found on campus. Safety protocols were followed to ensure the well-being of our school community. We appreciate our local law enforcement, Rialto USD Safety Services, and your patience, trust, and support. Thank you.

In cooperation with the San Bernardino and Rialto Police Departments, Rialto High School was placed on a safety lockdown on Monday, September 29, 2025. At 2:45 p.m., students were reunified with their parents/guardians. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
