What first took me to the Gold Dome was testifying for foster kids. When I finished, a state senator told me he’d been down there for 17 years and had never once heard the words “foster care.”
That hit me hard. Because it proved what many of us already know — if you don’t have money, power, or a lobbyist, your voice doesn’t get heard.
That’s when I made a commitment: I would fight for the people who don’t have access, who don’t have a checkbook big enough to buy influence.
I’m running for governor to take that fight statewide and for all of you.
