Great thread. I will also add that I personally went undercover into 4 late-term abortion clinics across Canada between 20-24 weeks pregnant to see how late I could get an abortion. Each clinic said it was absolutely no problem for me to get one at the hospital after they inject the fetal heart with digoxin to kill the baby, and then the hospital would induce me to deliver the "dead fetus" (their words). In Toronto, the abortionist said there is "no such thing as 'too far'", and was told I could have it done up until 30-32 weeks of pregnancy no problem. They didn't ask the reason, and they knew I was in perfect health as was the baby. In fact, when I asked that if in order to get the late-term abortion, I had to prove my life was at risk, or something was wrong with the baby, the abortionist said "absolutely not" and that this type of abortion care hasn't existed since the "1960's". These claims on late-term abortion are just false. Here are the videos: youtube.com/playlist?list=… On top of that, in Vancouver I was told that "any pregnancy, no matter how it ends, after 20 weeks, is considered a stillbirth". Shortly after these videos came out, the Canadian Medical Journal said Canada’s stillbirth rate is “artificially high” when compared to other countries because it includes abortions past 20 weeks in the count. They then confirmed that late-term abortions are happening in Canada, and that they are not rare. cmaj.ca/content/198/3/…

Rest in peace, Chuck Norris. Norris was a staunch defender of pro-life values. In 2008, he wrote a public essay defending the right to life, and attacked Obama’s stand on abortion, urging voters to “vote their values”. "We canʼt just be concerned about our finances....[abortion] is a violation of the governmentʼs primary purpose: to protect innocent life."

Viktor Frankl was a survivor of the Holocaust and opposed physician-assisted suicide. As a physician, Frankl opposed a so-called "quality of life" philosophy, which was taught and practiced by Nazi physicians. For them, human beings have lives "not worthy to be lived," if, for example, they are not useful to others and cannot contribute to society. Such weak and sickly persons would be better off dead, relieving others of financial and emotional burdens. For Frankl, human beings have unconditional value. In other words, they, first, have value because of who they are, not what they do nor how much they contribute to society. That is to say, humans always have ontological value, which is the inherent value or dignity of being persons, regardless of how well or ill they are. @PierrePoilievre @joerogan

A woman doesn’t walk into an abortion clinic feeling powerful, she walks into the doors feeling powerless.

This bill would also prohibit physicians and other health-care professionals from initiating unsolicited conversations about MAID with patients, from referring individuals to receive euthanasia outside the province, would ban advertisements for MAID in hospitals and provides protections for physicians and nurse practitioners who refuse to administer MAID. It also allows for 150-metre “exclusion zones” prohibiting any advocacy for MAID near medical facilities that don’t allow the practice on their premises. This is an amazing bill, and ground-breaking legislation provincially. If you live outside of Alberta, email Premier Smith (premier@gov.ab.ca) and Justice Minister Mickey Amery (Calgary.Cross@assembly.ab.ca) and thank them for setting an example for MAID legislation provincially. If you live in Alberta, e-mail or call your MLA today and tell them to support Bill 18!

"There are prohibitions. The Smith government wants to be clear about that. They are tightening things up. Doctor-assisted death, often called MAiD, Medical Assistance in Dying, will be prohibited for those under 18, persons whose only underlying medical condition is a mental illness and individuals without the capacity to make their own health-care decisions. So-called advance requests, pre-approvals for assisted dying before a person loses the capacity to provide informed consent, will also be prohibited. MAiD will also be prohibited where a natural death is not “reasonably foreseeable.”" @RickBellwrites

I met an 84-year-old woman who was offered euthanasia at a Canadian hospital practically upon arrival. Miriam didn’t want to die. She recovered well and travelled to Cuba, Mexico, and Guatemala. Stop offering death to people who have adventures to lead!
