Due to low traffic, the following chains will be removed from Singular by the end of February, or March at the latest (depending on our new infra progress): - @build_on_bob - @BNBCHAIN - @AstarNetwork - @MoonbeamNetwork Negotiations with these chains to support our infra have not been fruitful. Collections on these chains will stick around but we will no longer be indexing them for trades on Singular, and you will no longer be able to see these collections in the app. Remember - ERC6220 is backwards compatible with legacy marketplaces like OpenSea, so basic trading should still work fine there. Also in February, we will be adding @katana due to an upcoming ERC6220 launch, and reactivating @ethereum. We are still undecided about @0xPolygon - we believe their new Open Money Stack focus lends itself well to trustless OTC trades in NFT-based bundles of ERC20 tokens (ERC7590), but the chain's integration in Singular is costly due to the size - especially as the chain adds performance upgrades in 2026 that will increase state and indexing load even more. We'll keep you updated.

Support for @kusama chains has been removed from Singular.rmrk.app. Bugs not expected but if you find any, report via the link in the footer. Going forward, based on marketplace fees generated, we will be removing some underperforming EVM chains for which we’ve generously maintained infra all these years. More info on adding/removing chains soon.

@RmrkApp @kusamanetwork @MoonbeamNetwork The contractadresses are the same, the receive adresses as well, the bridge transactions are clean and in basescan they show up as one Account, but they Show up as different RMRK tokens in the wallet, both RMRK on base, one tradable on Uni, the bridged one from Moonbeam not

What this means for you: - you can still bridge, but the process is a little different. - the tokens on the Substrate @kusamanetwork side are basically just claims for the Moonbeam / Base version - we are not "leaving" @MoonbeamNetwork in terms of the token, but we will be phasing out marketplace support. So you can keep the token there if you want, and the @axelar ITS bridge will remain active indefinitely - no rush. This is all part of the larger consolidation of infra and tokens we mentioned a few times already. Going forward, as we reduce the chain-support footprint, we will be launching open source tools that allow you to keep collections on those chains active. That way, even if a chain (and its collections) disappear from Singular, you will have the tools you need to keep them going on your own. We feel like concentrating attention on the products that are alive and in demand works better than supporting and paying for infra very few people use, in more ways than one. The first of these mini-products - an open source hyper-performant self hostable renderer for flattening and rendering composable NFTs - is going live this coming week.

@RmrkApp @kusamanetwork @MoonbeamNetwork One Question: bridging RMRK Token from Moonbeam to Base, the Token is not the same as getting it through DEX-trading on Base. They show up as different Tokens in the wallet, both on base. The one that came over from Moonbeam is not tradable. Will this be solved in the Future?

It's with a heavy heart that we must share some difficult news: due to funding challenges and the resulting team departures, the RMRK project cannot continue operating in its current form. Our Journey and Achievements Since founding, RMRK has achieved significant milestones: - Launched the first version of our NFT protocol on Kusama. - Launched the first version of our Modular NFT protocol on Kusama. - Released "Kanaria" NFT collection, pioneering multi-resource NFTs. - Released "Singular," a Modular NFT Marketplace. - Implemented the Modular NFT protocol for EVM. - Certified multiple ERCs (ERC-5773, ERC-7401, ERC-6220, ERC-6454, ERC-7409, ERC-7508, ERC-7590), making Modular NFTs a universal open-source standard accessible to anyone. - Migrated the whole tech stack into EVM, unlocking smart contract functionality for Kanaria and Singular. This improved security, solved the double-spend issue, and allowed for functionality such as auctions and offers. - Released "Upgradooor" (upgradooor.app) which allowed for ERC721 NFTs to be upgraded into Modular NFTs, unlocking all of their functionality for existing collections. - Released "Mintaur" (mintaur.app) allowing creation of lazy-minted Modular NFTs. - Released "Wizard" (wizard.rmrk.dev), a smart contract development tool for Modular NFTs. - Open-sourced multiple examples of Modular NFT integration into modern Web tooling. - Launched "Skybreach: Lands" (more on this below). - Launched the "Skybreach: Dungeons" game. - Implemented the first-ever 3D composable NFTs. - Helped many teams launch their own projects using the Modular NFT protocol. The RMRK project has always maintained a position of not utilizing predatory Web3 practices and has believed in natural growth. Despite these accomplishments, the market conditions and failure to attract additional investments have brought sustainability challenges, leading us to our current situation. Skybreach All the products built by RMRK through this time were always part of a grander vision, and each and every single one was a stepping stone for making Skybreach possible. From the EVM version of the protocol to bring it natively on-chain to Kanaria and Singular migration to have the necessary infrastructure in place. Unfortunately, at the current stage, the continuation of the Skybreach project is not possible due to lack of funding and market conditions, and the use of the raised RMRK token is also not an option. Key Learnings from Looking Back We've identified several decisions that could have been better: - Treasury management: Keeping too much KSM as the price dropped significantly - Migration process: We should have moved directly to Base instead of considering Moonbeam first - Network choice: While Base seemed right at the time, their support wasn't as good as we expected - Product timeline: Delaying Skybreach while working on tools and showcases didn't bring the user growth we hoped for - Token handling: We were too careful about selling tokens when prices were good, which limited our funding, though we were trying to avoid affecting the market - Partnerships: We spent too much time trying to work out partnerships with various brands that lead to nowhere, in most cases they just wanted to hear our expertise without any execution resulting in a lot of wasted time. These insights come from looking back with knowledge we didn't have then. All decisions were made with good intentions and based on what we knew at the time. Seeking Solutions and Inviting Collaboration We are actively exploring possible solutions to ensure the continuity of what we've built. We welcome third parties interested in taking over Skybreach or other aspects of the RMRK ecosystem. Kanaria, Skybreach, and Chunkies intellectual property and technology are available for use by the community. We believe in the potential of what we've created and would love to see it continue to evolve, even if under different stewardship.
