¡Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos y, con Él, también nosotros resucitamos a una vida nueva! Este anuncio pascual abraza el misterio de nuestra vida y el destino de la historia, y nos alcanza hasta en los abismos de la muerte. #Pascua

Death is always lurking. We see it in violence, in the wounds of the world, in the cry of pain that rises from every corner because of the abuses that crush the weakest among us, because of the idolatry of profit that plunders the earth’s resources, because of the violence of war that kills and destroys. #Easter

OK this is cool. The first time humans have seen the whole Mare Orientale on the far side of the Moon with their own eyes. Usually hidden from our view on Earth, even Apollo astronauts didn't see it completely because of their orbit and illumination conditions (Apollo 17 caught a partial glimpse lit by 'Earthshine'). History in the making In this new image from our @NASAArtemis II crew, you can see Orientale basin on the right edge of the lunar disk. This mission marks the first time the entire basin has been seen with human eyes.

Thanks to our @NASAArtemis II astronauts for working on the weekend! The fourth day of their mission brought more crew preparations for Monday's trip around the Moon and stunning new images from their vantage point. What views are you most excited to see?

Say hello to Nyasi 💚 A huge thank you to everyone who voted to help name this little cheetah cub! Nyasi means "grass" or "plains," and we couldn’t think of a better fit for this adventurous boy.

Why do the Artemis II astronauts keep calling their Orion spacecraft, "Integrity"? The crew chose this name for their home away from home because it "embodies the foundation of trust, respect, candor, and humility" of the teams behind the Artemis II mission.

Even today there are tombs to be opened, and often the stones sealing them are so heavy and so closely guarded that they seem to be immovable. Some weigh heavily on the human heart, such as mistrust, fear, selfishness and resentment; others, stemming from these inner struggles, sever the bonds between us through war, injustice and the isolation of peoples and nations. Let us not allow ourselves to be paralyzed by them! #Easter

Artemis II just hit the "two thirds" mark of the journey to the Moon. During Flight Day 4, the astronauts aboard Orion went over plans to study the Moon during their upcoming lunar flyby and are currently practicing manually controlling the spacecraft.

Hey media-- Pam Bondi is not a victim -- she willingly carried out Trump's agenda to prosecute his political enemies and undermine free and fair elections. Todd Blache is not shouldering a "burden" or "walking a tightrope." He is a willing accomplice. Language matters.

High Five! 🙌 It's the weekend! Sea otters have extremely dexterous paws, which allow them to find food along the ocean floor and use tools to crack open the hard shells they find.

The far side of the moon isn’t just the “dark side," it’s older, rougher, and full of clues about how the solar system formed. Here’s why scientists are so interested in it and why missions like Artemis II are heading there. Read about this week’s Artemis II launch here: time-magazine.visitlink.me/2OY2Xy

Not bad for a first day in space. Yesterday, as they became closer to the Moon than the Earth, Commander Reid Wiseman and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen reflected on the feeling of the translunar injection burn. Rise, the zero-gravity indicator, hung out for the conversation as well.
