But knowing Doug Ford, he’ll cave to pressure and soon announce he’s selling the jet back

@RobynUrback It's too late now but do you think a leadership change would've stemmed the bleeding for the CPC?

Let's pretend this actual happened. In what area(s) is Canada currently a global leader? Not national resources and energy, not infrastructure development, immigration, international diplomacy...

Diana Fox Carney: “My husband and I have been stopped on the streets of Mumbai, Sydney, London and Paris and of course throughout Canada by people from all backgrounds seeking to thank Canada for our country's global leadership.”

And, uh, just so I am clear, when I was in university I never did a bunch of bong hits in a McDonalds bathroom, ate three strawberry sundaes (RIP), and threw up by the dumpster behind the restaurant.

NOW - Melania: "To be clear, I never had relations with Epstein or his accomplice Maxwell." "I never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time." "Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance."

Liberals will say they are one big, broad tent. But tents have stakes in the ground that don’t move. What the Liberal Party actually is, in fact, is a bedsheet, tenuously tied to a flagpole, flapping in whichever direction the wind happens to be blowing theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

Reflects poorly on both. Gladu for obvious reasons. But if ever one needed proof that Liberal principles are first and foremost about the acquisition of power and not a coherent set of values and perspectives, it's accepting an unapologetic conservative like Gladu into caucus
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

At this important moment for our country’s future, Canadians with a broad range of experience and perspectives are uniting to build Canada strong. I am honoured to welcome Marilyn Gladu today as the newest member of this government and our Liberal caucus. In a time of global economic uncertainty, Canada’s success will depend on how we build ambition into progress and strengths into sustained advantage. Marilyn brings the practical, results-driven leadership this effort demands. Having spent decades of her career in engineering and international business, she understands what it takes to create good jobs, strengthen supply chains, and ensure Canadian industry can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. She has been elected by the people of Sarnia—Lambton–Bkejwanong in four straight elections since 2015, and repeatedly earned recognition from colleagues across Parliament for her proven willingness to work constructively across party lines. I’m looking forward to working closely with Marilyn to build a stronger and more independent Canadian economy, meeting the challenges of a changing world with lasting opportunities for all.

In light of recent events, perhaps Canada *should* let the U.S. try to annex us, since we very well could end up owning Michigan and charging tolls at the Northwest Passage
