#Karuppu has locked ₹20 Cr gross in Tamil Nadu today. It is the first film in Suriya’s career to gross ₹20 Cr in Tamil Nadu in a single day. The film has crossed ₹50 Cr+ gross in Tamil Nadu during its opening weekend, while the worldwide first weekend estimate is around ₹120 Cr. Despite facing financial and release hurdles, Karuppu has delivered the biggest opening weekend of Suriya’s career. For reference, Suriya’s previous highest-grossing film was Singam 2, which collected close to ₹125 Cr gross worldwide. Karuppu is set to reach that mark within its opening weekend itself.
