It makes me very happy to see that people are intrigued enough by the lore of The Princess Factory to theorize about it. And all the questions do indeed have answers! Most of which will be revealed in the not-too-distant future.

😂 That’s wonderful to hear, thank you! I’m glad that it’s working now. Since there seems to be more demand for the game on MacOS than I had anticipated, I am actually looking into getting an Apple developer ID so that I can make it easier for people to play on Mac without having to jump through any extra hoops—and perhaps offer a Mac version through Steam as well.

@RyanWaverley We bought the Mac version of The Princess Factory on itch.​io When we try to run it MacOS says: “The Princess Factory” is damaged and can’t be opened. Is this something you're aware of, should we wait for an updated version to download?

The new builds should be available shortly. If you have the same problem after a re-download, then from what I’ve been able to gather, the issue is likely down to the fact that I’m not a licensed Apple developer and therefore can’t offer authorized Mac app versions (I don’t have the budget for the developer fee at present). However, you can still run the DMG. After you’re told by Apple to delete the DMG, close the prompt, go into your Mac’s Settings -> Security & Privacy, and on the message you’ll find there telling you that MacOS blocked The Princess Factory from opening, click “Open Anyway”. You’ll only have to do this once, after that, you should have no problems running the file. Let me know if this fix doesn’t work.

Hi Denton, very sorry about this. I believe this is a problem with the file on itch somehow being corrupted, as I’m not having problems running the DMG on my own Mac. I have deleted the file on itch and am now uploading a fresh version that will hopefully fix the problem. If that doesn’t work, I’ll look into other options.
