The Salvation Army divisional headquarters in Jamaica flooded during #HurricaneMelissa. After many days of hard work, mucking out, and sorting through a storage room full of now muddy clothes, the building is safe to be used as a staging ground for relief supplies.

Amidst immense destruction and travel difficulties, Salvation Army teams in Jamaica continue to assess damage and gather resources to aid survivors on the island after #HurricaneMelissa.

Forced labor trafficking spikes after disasters. Survivors, disoriented and desperate, are especially vulnerable. EDS has worked with Southern Territorial Coordinator against Human Trafficking to train EDS teams on signs of trafficking and ways to provide aid.

The Salvation Army is responding to yesterday's tragic plane crash in Louisville, serving food and drinks to first responders at the staging area and the Family Reunification Center and providing emotional and spiritual care to families and loved ones affected by this tragedy.

The Salvation Army was proud to serve at the Marine Corps Marathon this weekend with three mobile feeding vehicles providing hydration, snacks, and sandwiches to the incredible medical personnel, Marines, and volunteers who made this iconic event possible #50thmarinecorpsmarathon

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief worked together to support employees and their families impacted by the industrial explosion in rural Tennessee.

Kentucky Tennessee EDS Director, Scott TIbbetts, shares about relief efforts following last week's explosion in Tennessee. To date, The Salvation Army has distributed over 1,700 household necessity items, baby supplies from Baby2Baby, and Midwest Food Bank food boxes.

After the explosion in Tennessee, both employees of the plant and their loved ones, many of them children, needed comfort and support in the aftermath. We are grateful to partner with Baby 2 Baby who generously provided diapers, wipes, and stuffed animals.

On October 10th, a devastating blast tore through a rural Tennessee explosives plant. The Salvation Army has mobilized units to the incident site to deliver hydration services for first responders processing the scene. More units are on standby should they be requested.
