Very enjoyable how Stuart Broad's judgement of whether a decision should be reviewed is so measured and conservative now he's a commentator.

Ignoring the issues around the WTC, it is barely two years since England essentially cleared house across the board.
Less than two years since they won the T20 World Cup both coach/ captain are (not unreasonably) under big pressure. I’d say there’s still accountability.

Odd that England are bottom of the test table and have lost two world titles in a year and it just doesn’t matter, no one is accountable because meh, kind of an exhibition sport these days. Nobody likes the hounding part of sport. But without a hard edge it kind of dies

@OliBurley You can say that about Saka and Foden too, they can’t all start because you need some variety.
Not saying Palmer definitely shouldn’t & he was decent when he came on.

Add it to the list of very normal things at ICC events that includes fudging the groups to guarantee certain matches & one side having a pre-determined time & venue for the semi-final that everyone else has to work around.

So England will play India in Guyana on Thursday. A couple of things to note: - the forecast is less than ideal - India will qualify if the game is washed out having won their group Unusually, this second semi-final has no rain-reserve day. The first one in Trinidad does.
