I spent a long time searching for the AXP100 C65, a thing of impossibility. But now I can combine the old with the new, such as the #NerdQX, and test it. The NerdQX is already a design and performance icon in 2025, so how can the original be improved upon? The original NerdQX comes with an AXP120 and a 120 mm Be Quiet fan. The AXP100 C65 is slightly smaller, as the name suggests. It comes with a very unusual 100 mm fan, which is not only loud but also doesn't work very well. The AXP100 C65 is slightly narrower than the AXP120 and therefore offers significantly less cooling surface. However, it is made entirely of solid copper. So it's actually an interesting question which cooler delivers better performance.

Summer is here, so I thought I'd finally build an adapter for my 1.5 kg copper cooler to test it on the #Bitaxe Gamma. But wait, why single chip when you could just look at the Bitaxe GT? So I took a very early prototype from @PowerMiningFarm and experimented a little. Here we are, 1000 MHz with two BM1370 ASIC processors, 4.08 Th/s on average. I'd say the cooler passed the test with flying colors, right? 😉 I accidentally set another world record, and we're not even in the optimization and testing phase yet. 😄 At the standard clock speed of 525 MHz and within the AxeOS setting of 625 MHz, the cooler is probably a little oversized. At these frequencies, no fan is necessary, so it runs completely silently at 34°C. But well, it is what it is... can't be changed. I hope you know what's coming next... as I said, it's an extremely early prototype from the PowerMining guys... So there are still a lot of things to try out, improve and optimize before the actual Bitaxe GT release and I can throw myself back into testing mode to provide you with detailed insights as always. And of course, we still need to adopt #OCaxe and run tests... but all in good time, as soon as we have a stable release.
