வன்னியில் இறுதிப்போர் உக்கிரமாக நடைபெற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது தமிழ்நாட்டு தேர்தல் பிரச்சாரங்களில் அரசியல்வாதிகள் ஈடுபட்டிருந்தார்கள். அப்போது ஆட்சியில் இருந்த காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டணியில் இதில் நிற்கும் நபரும் ஒருவராக இருந்தார். போரை நிறுத்தச் சொல்லி முத்துக்குமாரன் என்ற உணர்வாளர் தனது உடலில் தீயினை மூட்டி எரிந்ததுடன் தனது உடலினை ஆயுதமாக பயன்படுத்தி தமிழ்நாட்டில் மக்கள் திரண்ட எழுந்து ஈழத்தில் நடைபெறும் தமிழினப் படுகொலைகளை நிறுத்துமாறு கோரி போராட்டத்தை நடத்துமாறு கூறியிருந்த போதும், அங்கு அவ்வாறான ஒரு எழுச்சி ஏற்பட்டு விடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காக அந்த இளஞனின் தியாகத்தையே கேவலப்படுத்தியவர்களை அந்த மண்ணுக்கு அழைத்து பொன்னாடை போர்த்துவதற்கு இவர்களுக்கு எப்படி மனம் வந்தது? போர் முடிவுற்ற பின்னர் சில ஆண்டுகளின் பின் பிரித்தானியாவின் தலைநகர் லண்டனில் ஒரு நிகழ்வுக்காக சென்றிருந்த இவர் அங்கு தமிழ் மக்களின் கடும் எதிர்ப்பினை எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டிய நிலை உருவாகியது. அவ்வாறான ஒருவரை தற்போது இலங்கையின் வடக்கு பகுதிக்கு அதுவும் இனத்தின் விடுதலைக்காக போராடி தங்கள் இன்னுயிர்களை ஈகம் செய்தவர்களின் நினைவுகூரும் மாதத்தில் அடுத்த ஆண்டு தமிழ்நாடு சட்டப்பேரவைத் தேர்தல் நடைபெறவுள்ள நிலையில் இவரை அழைத்திருக்கும் செயற்பாடானது மிகவும் அருவருப்பானது என்பதுடன் இந்நபரினை அழைத்த தரப்புகள் போலித்தேசியம் பேசும் தரப்புகளாகவே இருக்கமுடியும் என போரினால் நேரடியாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மக்கள் குறிப்பிடுகின்றனர். Chemmani Mass Grave – Phase 2, Day 37 Today, 10 more human skeletons were identified, bringing the total to 187 skeletons recovered so far. Out of these, 174 skeletons have been fully exhumed. Some infant skeletons were also identified today. An artifact a broken bangle was recovered as well.
