Canada's Parliamentary Budget Officer officially calculated that MAID saves the federal and provincial governments over $149 million dollars per year. They ran the numbers. They published the report. They know exactly what each death saves. Meanwhile disability support in New Brunswick pays $705 a month. Canada sends $15.9 billion abroad annually. Our emergency departments are closing for lack of staff. Palliative care is unavailable to 70% of Canadians who need it. Getting approved for MAID is faster than getting a specialist appointment. Ask yourself who that system was designed to serve.
