Also, gaming on a blockchain is not coming back

The credit system demands you have perfect credit while being trillions in debt. The education system charges 300k for a degree when the information is free online. The financial system says you need funding to compete… and yet open source devs are getting acquired left and right. Why? Because AI doesn’t care about your degree. Crypto doesn’t care about your credit score. Open source doesn’t care about your funding. They only care about what you can build, and the people who can build with AI are running laps around every institution that told them they couldn’t. All you need now? A GitHub and a vision. Everything else is noise.

2) it’s hard not to feel pessimistic about dfs / draft games and the industry but the truth is, it’s a niche product that’s not nearly as profitable as other opportunities

saying nfts are dead is incredibly short sighted. nfts represent true decentralized digital ownership. and the world is getting more digital, not less. innovations continue to emerge from nft technology - like RWAs - which can bridge the gap between digital and physical. and we haven’t even started to scratch the surface of what they can mean for dozens of other industries. the way people use nfts will continue to change. their purpose will evolve. for years they were largely used as instruments for people to gamble. we might not see another year like 2021 and that’s ok! focus can shift now to driving value vs just speculation. nfts are important building blocks for a future where people take ownership over their digital assets and identity. where culture trades and creators reap the benefits from their own success. and they’re an essential part of an integrated strategy at opensea - one place where you can own and trade everything onchain. onward and upward.
