@RamasScreen It was never worth it. Not when you can get amc alist for $30 and see it right down the road. I have cut back too. I only go to handful of big screenings now. Waste of time and money.

How do the people in Los Angeles survive with $8/gallon gas? i live like 1.5 hours away with $5.50/gallon here and I'm already struggling. Unable to drive out to L.A. anymore to attend critics screenings.

He’s not wrong. A big reason films are underperforming is the drop in overall quality since 2020. Too many movies just aren’t good enough to justify the cost of a ticket anymore.

They Will Kill You is a total fucking blast from start to finish. It’s the kind of movie that knows exactly what it is and fully embraces it. Completely batshit crazy, with everyone involved clearly all in. Zazie Beetz is an absolute badass, taking command of the screen and never letting go. What a way to close out SXSW 2026. This movie fucking rules. #TheyWillKillYou

I mean if all you think of when you see Robert Pattinson is Batman that’s a serious problem. I would have more respect for this person if they said Edward Cullen.

@Ryans_Ramblings @warnerbros @theywillkill People went nuts for it. I mean the SXSW crowd especially the films that premiere at the Paramount typically get that kind of reaction but people were really into it.

Basic feels exactly like the kind of movie that could get teens and twentysomethings to show up at the theater. It’s clearly made for the social media generation, and the cast is terrific, especially Ashley Park and Leighton Meester. Basic is packed with Gen Z energy, so I’m not sure how audiences over 40 will connect with it, but younger audiences will likely eat it up. Full transparency, it took me a bit to warm up to the characters, but I ended up liking them and their journey. Writer/director Chelsea Devantez feels like someone who’s going to be around for a long time. #Basic #BasicMovie #SXSW

Let’s do this, please. Let’s move it to the middle of February. The last few years have felt brutally long and I think so many films have lost momentum because not everyone has the budget to spend massive dollars on the campaign.
