SDA’s TLT1 saw 2 milestones in 2025. In Sept., riding aboard a @SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, SDA launched the first 21 SVs of T1, built by @YorkSpaceSystem. SDA was able to immediately follow up with a second launch in Oct., deploying an additional 21 SVs built by @LockheedMartin.

In March, SDA completed its #PWSA Operations Centers at Redstone Arsenal, AL and Grand Forks AFB, ND. The final step was the successful install of the last @LockheedMartin TLTL NOVA at the SDA OC-South which concluded the full system checkout for both OCs.

In the summer of 2025, SDA successfully launched the "Dragoon" demo satellite from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. @YorkSpaceSystem built this prototype satellite for the Tranche 1 Experimentation and Demonstration System (T1DES). #SemperCitius #SDADelivers2025 #PWSA

SDA demoed a capability for the warfighter, shattering traditional battlefield limitations with its first space-based Link 16 relay. Achieved during TS25 with INDOPACOM, an SDA first, relayed messages between 2 BLOS ground-based radios via the data-transport T0 SV network.

SDA’s Tranche 0 continued to show success in 2025 with the demonstration of optical space-to-ground (S2G) communications using @YorkSpaceSystem and @SpaceX satellite vehicles, and SDA prototype optical ground terminals. #SemperCitius #SDADelivers2025 #PWSA

SDA successfully demonstrated S2A optical comms capability in Aug. 2025. With #industry partners @GeneralAtomics and @KeplerComms, SDA successfully demoed bi-directional S2A optical comms between a GA-EMS OCT mounted on an aircraft and an SDA #PWSA-compatible Kepler SV in LEO.
