This Native American Heritage Month, let's celebrate and honor the tradition, history, and stories of the Native American people!

Glad to see significant improvement of our students's school lunch! This spring, I listened to the concerns of parents and students and called on the city to address the need for better school lunch quality this spring.  A student shared this photo with me last week, grateful for the improvement she’s seen in her lunch! The work doesn't stop here, I will continue to ensure our students not just been served healthy lunch, but also quality education! #betterschoollunch #bettereducation

November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. I'm proud to pass the bill to include Alzheimer's and dementia in our Health Care and Wellness Education and Outreach Program. It's important to provide early intervention, and potentially delay the need for nursing home care. Let's raise awareness and continue provide resources to families in need!

So great to see so many families and kids enjoying our fun events and beautiful fall weather!

Honored to join @cpc_nyc for their Brooklyn Harvest Moon Benefit, celebrating 45 years of service in Brooklyn. Thank you for all you do to empower our community! It was a true privilege to present an award to Kin Ng, Bureau Chief of the Kings County DA’s Office @BrooklynDA, whom I’ve known for almost 20 years. I deeply appreciate his dedication to criminal justice and his contributions to the AAPI community!

We are seeing a troubling rise in attacks on delivery workers across New York. One shocking incident occurred on June 20, 2024, when a delivery worker in Bensonhurst was brutally robbed and stabbed while making a delivery. In response, I introduced bill S9924A, which would establish the crime of assaulting a food delivery person as a class E felony. Our delivery workers deserve protection, and it’s time we take serious action to ensure their safety!

Thank you @NIABklyn for hosting the veterans breakfast today to honor those who have served and fought for our country. I'm proud to have voted in favor of expanding Veterans Tuition Assistance (TAP) program and urge the Governor to sign it into law. Proud to stand with our veterans, commissioner @JamesHendonNYC of @nycveterans to support and give the recognition they deserve.

Proud to bring .@juniorknicks to Southern Brooklyn for a free basketball clinic with our local kids! It was such a blast playing alongside these young athletes and sharing the joy of sports together!
