Ian Dury… he gave Theatre of Hate some of its earliest gigs supporting him and the Blockheads. Really nice geeze. He said to me ‘What you doing tonight?’ I said nothing. He said ‘Well, come and play Hammersmith Odeon tonight!’ Which we did. Brilliant night!
