The biggest problem with Ontario is how many people are failing to realize the PCs have stumbled so badly for the past eight years. Aside from having booze everywhere, how have they improved the economy, education, environment, and housing? Is life better in Ontario?

The MPP for Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte and Attorney General of Ontario @douglasdowney is complicit in possibly the biggest cover up in Canadian political history. It did not go unnoticed nobody wanted to speak to him today at the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival.

Shrinkflation pisses me off so bad because not only are you ripping me off but you're gaslighting me. I go talking about how there's less crackers in each sleeve and people treat me like I'm crazy. What's actually crazy is what we're putting up with from these corpos.

So utterly disappointed in @LGOntario for this action. She could have at least taken the time to hear the massive concerns of Ontarians over this legislation. Instead she was a rubber stamp.

#BREAKING: Doug Ford was in such a rush to hide his phone records that his Freedom of Information changes quietly received royal assent this morning, on a Friday, with the Legislature not even sitting. I have sent urgent letters to: 1. The Secretary of Cabinet 2. The RCMP 3. Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner Each is being asked to act immediately to safeguard evidence related to the Greenbelt scandal before this government can destroy it. As Premier, I will reverse these changes and restore transparency, trust, and faith in our democracy.

As per Bill 5, Ford can take any part of Ontario and give it to anyone, for any reason. They don't even have to notify us. Just declare it a Special Economic Zone. Inside a SEZ, existing laws, rules and regulations don't apply. Doug writes the law, turnips. Has for eight years.

The gloves are coming off as Toronto mayor Olivia Chow attempts to rally Torontonians to combat the Doug Ford government’s plans to take over and expand Billy Bishop Airport. bit.ly/3Qm3ZKj

Sending these 3 letters is an excellent move! May I also suggest a letter to the @LGOntario? I understand it may be unprecedented but, as the ultimate voice for royal assent, no stone must be left unturned. These times ARE the extraordinary circumstances. Thank you from all of us.

Watch closely, this isn’t happening by accident. Doug Ford is following the same playbook we’re seeing elsewhere. Step by step, it mirrors what Danielle Smith is doing in Alberta and what the U.S. system has normalized for years. This is how it starts:
Underfund public healthcare → create frustration → introduce “alternatives” → normalize private, for-profit care → bring in insurance-driven models. And let’s be clear the capitalist private insurance companies have been eyeing Canada for decades. There’s been pressure going back to the Harper era to open that door. Because once it opens, it doesn’t close. Universal healthcare isn’t just a system it’s a safeguard. And if people don’t pay attention now, we risk waking up to something very different. This isn’t fear-mongering. It’s a pattern. And patterns matter.
