Struggling with co-staining in frozen tissue because multiple antibodies share the same host species? We developed Cryo-4i, a modified 4i-based method for simple, cost-effective multiplex immunostaining in frozen tissue. Protocol now available: doi.org/10.1016/j.xpro…

Is the genome just a bag of genes? A new paper in @ScienceMagazine now reports that for two thirds of an organisms' genes the position along the chromosome is actually very tightly constrained! Amazing work from my favorite night scientist @MartinJLercher and his team!

Hello everyone! I am helping to organize a one-day symposium on fluorescent metabolite biosensors and their use in metabolism research. It will be May 12-13 and associated with the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory “Mechanisms of Metabolic Signaling” Symposium. Our field needs to be able to visualize metabolism with spatial and temporal resolution and this symposium will explore what to do and how to do it, with experts in metabolism and biosensor development and use. Please join us! meetings.cshl.edu/meetings.aspx?… -JR
