This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. In June 2022, 28-year-old Caitlin Jensen went to a Georgia chiropractor for a routine neck adjustment. Shortly after the procedure, she became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found four dissected arteries in her neck. The injuries triggered a stroke, cardiac arrest, and a traumatic brain injury. Caitlin lost her pulse for about 10 minutes before doctors were able to revive her. She survived, but the damage changed everything. She was left paralyzed, with limited movement, and can no longer speak.

Anyone who thinks Spencer Pratt is a viable candidate for LA Mayor is among the stupidest human beings on earth. He lives rent-free in his parent's home in Santa Barbara (4 hours north of LA) because he's too broke to rebuild. The Palisades Fire happened on Trump's watch. The Trump administration withheld nearly $34 billion in requested federal disaster relief, and that lack of funding is a far greater obstacle than local permitting speed. Also thanks to Trump, there's no one to rebuild the homes. Hundreds have begun to rebuild but construction costs skyrocketed under Trump due to tarrifs and workers are all gone due to ICE deportations. The Palisades Fire was a catastrophe made 100x worse by the Trump administration to elevate a moron like Pratt to seize LA. And LA's bank account.
