It’s time to announce we’re shutting down Silo. It’s been a great run, farmors. We appreciate the support and belief we’ve received from our community, our team, and the Sei Foundation. There are now other mature options for liquid staking in the Sei ecosystem that can handle the transition of liquid stakers from Silo, and we wish them the best as they step up to fill the gap in the ecosystem. Huge shout out to the other builders and believers in the Sei eco who made this journey fun and exciting. Important details to note: 1) Deadline of 12/31/2025 23:59:59 UTC to unbond your iSEI and claim your SEI. 2) After 12/31/2025, the Silo protocol will continue to exist but we will stop hosting the Silo front end web application to access it. 3) Reminder that unbonding takes 21 days and cannot be sped up (anyone who offers to help around this is trying to scam you). 4) We will soon transition our web app to only support unbonding iSEI and claiming SEI. iSEI will no longer be mintable. 5) We will shutdown our community Discord and Telegrams momentarily to avoid facilitating scamming and phishing attempts as these channels transition to being undermoderated. To the community members asking what happened, tl;dr we built cool MVPs, found that MEV searchers would rather use their own infra than ours, realized our target user group doesn’t really want external products, and we decided that the area we wanted to build in isn’t ripe for new products. We’ll still be around, thinking, tinkering, farming, and building. And when the time comes where there’s another idea that we’re excited about, we’ll choose the red pill. <3 the farmors
