iconic place where people want to come & stay from all over. My first career was working in hotels, including a stint at The Grand, so I have a good understanding of the industry, but getting out & speaking to the real experts is how we are going to make real long term change.

@DominicRaab How have you possibly got time to be tweeting half truths like this? It’s an abandoned site on the other side of the river and the Lib Dems rejected the initial proposal. Rejection was overturned on appeal. Cheap political points. Very poor.

The reckless incompetence of Lib Dem run Elmbridge council, in failing to put a Local Plan in place, has allowed the development on the historic site at Hampton Court - which our local community in Molesey has so bitterly opposed. Unforgivable.

A reminder - a third of hospitality businesses still not breaking even and half having to cut capacity or reduce hours because of labour shortages means we are leaving £22bn of unearned revenue on the table - with corresponding tax take of £7bn to the Exchequer
