i don’t think she doesn’t understand intersectionality i think she’s lowkey right in questioning why race solidarity is the expectation but gender solidarity is treated as an abomination
Cici@419err

She already lost me when she said how “she’s a woman before she’s black” and also how the “patriarchy doesn’t GAF about your 17 other identities” like ummmm….she’s been having some weird takes lowk

the wizard liz is a lesson because you can't ignore the premise she built her platform on. her whole brand was "you are the operant power in your reality, so you manifest everything, including the men who hurt you", and that framing leaves no room for any woman to be a victim of anything. she is always the one to blame. she often told women who complained about their relationships to look at their own energy because they were calling shitty men in, flattening their real pain and abuse into self-blame. this is one of the most evil possible uses for manifestation in my opinion. she is now finding out, in the worst possible way, that women's systemic oppression isn't that simple and cannot be individually manifested away. her content went viral because it was abrasive, shocking, and lacking in nuance. you cannot spend years stripping context from other women's stories and then expect context for your own when you find out a man pretended to be a different person just to trap you into pregnancy and then go full sociopathic abuser on you. according to HER, she manifested that shit! whatever grace she gets now, she'll have to receive from the women she trained not to give it. if you believe in manifestation, you also have to believe there is a structure behind reality itself. for manifestation to even function as a concept, there has to be a substrate underneath it. higher dimensions, soul contracts/ancestral baggage, karmic debt, archetypes, divine timing, free will, other souls also manifesting and intersecting with your timeline. otherwise it turns into something unbelievably ugly and with very harmful consequences to the people you're trying to guide.

In lieu of offcampus and the Jimmy fallon show I think we all need to remember the culture surrounding the term and the real life consequences it has for girls/women in these circles, rape culture is perpetuated by the concept that some women will do anything to fuck a hockey guy

There's a foreign language movie I watched as a teenager called Malena starring Monica Belluci. She's a woman whose husband is assumed dead during the war and she's basically sexually harassed by the men of the city who all want her and women who hate her for her beauty. She can't find work, nobody will help her and she's taken sexual advantage of by the men in town. She eventually has to start sexual relationships with occupying soldiers (N*zis) in order to feed herself and stay alive and when the war is over, the women attack her in the town square and cut off her hair as a humiliating ritual in front of all their husbands who all desired her. It's always stayed with me.

20,000 French women were shaved & paraded by French men themselves. After France’s liberation in World War II (1944), around 20,000 women accused of “horizontal collaboration” had their heads shaved in public. Many French women were punished over rumors or for aiding Germans.
