Spain could be headed into a civil war. This isn’t just a border dispute. Spain spent centuries under Muslim rule before Christian kingdoms fought for generations to reclaim the peninsula. Morocco still disputes Spain’s control of Ceuta and Melilla today. The past has a way of resurfacing itself.
