Hope everyone’s been enjoying the recent upgrades on the Engagement Marketplace. You can really see the devs adding some finesse, especially with how things are evolving around the leaderboard.
Now with this updated leaderboard structure, it feels like we’re entering a more serious and data-driven phase of #SocialMining.
The scoring is actually clearer than it first looks.
Quality Rate × Speed Efficiency × 1000 = Final Score
From the breakdown in the system:
Quality is not vague, it’s built from actual grading outcomes like Amazing, Good, Suboptimal, Rejected.
Example shown: 15 Amazing, 0 others = 100% Quality Rate.
Speed isn’t just fast or slow either, it’s aggregated across multiple tasks (e.g. 300 / 200 / 100 scoring tiers), then normalized into a percentage like 75.8% Speed Efficiency.
So when you combine both:
100% × 75.8% × 1000 = 757.58
What makes this interesting is the structure behind it.
This isn’t a simple additive leaderboard anymore, it’s multiplicative, and that changes the game completely.
Even small drops in either side matter.
High quality but weak speed = reduced total score.
Fast output but poor quality = same outcome.
Balance is now the real advantage.
And that’s the key shift here, it rewards consistency, not just bursts of performance.
What I like most is how it pushes everyone to level up.
Not just create, but create well and deliver on time.
It’s giving structure, it’s giving accountability, and it’s definitely raising the standard across the board in #SocialMining.
Still curious how the speed aggregation will evolve with scale, but overall this feels like a solid step toward a more transparent and performance-based system.
