A hardware upgrade success 🧵 Last few years I have wanted to get my Kyma Paca system going again, but my ancient Macbook from 2012 has been struggling just booting. So what to do? Main problem is that the Paca connects through firewire 800 which has been discontinued for years

Today I got the adaptor, and tried it all on a Macbook Air 2025 model, and everything just works completely trouble free. Even the old TC audio interface (still using firewire) connects with the Paca hassle free. Im in complete shock and awe that it just works like this.

With @lydrummet recording an old school light bulb, slowly dying. Using Inducers is really useful for these sort of sounds.
