At the same time, efforts like the @ethereum Foundation's @SourcifyEth began solving parts of what we were trying to build. That forced a harder question: Were we trying to build a source of truth? And if so, who governs it?

🎧🎶Did you know❓ Deploying a smart contract without verifying it is a serious red flag to users. Wallets like @MetaMask & @Rabby_io wouldn't be able to decode calls into human-readable descriptions, and users would only see raw hex data when interacting with your contract. Remix makes contract verification easier with the Contract Verification plugin, which supports popular tools such as @SourcifyEth, @etherscan, @blockscout, and @routescan_io.

I've joined the @solidity_lang team at @argotorg as Developer Advocate! They say there's nothing like dealing with a high-severity compiler bug to get yourself integrated into a new team, and that's exactly what happened in my second week. The explainer is linked in the next post. More than a decade in the Ethereum ecosystem means I've followed Solidity's evolution closely, both the language itself and how developers use it in practice. I'm excited to bring that perspective to the team and contribute to the continued development of Solidity and Core Solidity. I want to hear from you! What are your biggest pain points with Solidity? What features do you love? What would make your life easier? What would you like to see in the Core Solidity std lib? Ping me here or DM me, and we can have a chat. At the very least, take 5 minutes to fill out the Solidity Developer Survey linked in the next post. The Solidity team is full of incredibly smart people who care deeply about what they're building.
