Starship launch pads and cadence implications: Starting with confirmed: Texas: OLP-1 & 2 Florida: LC-39A SLC-37A&B Louisiana: Pecan Island (at least 1) All but certain: At least one, probably several California pads. Did I miss any? With only counting 1 california pad that is 7 pads we know of coming online. With a very unambitious launch cadence of once every 2 weeks, that is enough for 182 Starship flights per year. Once a week pad cadence gets you a launch every single day. With Falcon 9's SLC-40 2025 cadence you get 756 launches per year, or twice a day.

This company is for sale. Why is no one buying it? It's a working fucking rocket.

Because somebody buying the company has to look at how it pay back the cost. And ULA has current launch contracts, yes, but is facing multiple partially or fully reusable competitors coming online who will almost certainly undercut them on cost. Basically, they're facing massively increased competition with a rocket that will struggle to keep up with a cutthroat market crowded with competitors that do not have the pension obligations, workforce size, or organizational inertia of ULA. Honestly, they're probably going to go bankrupt and the assests auctioned off.
