It's mostly about the music - Charlatans, Stone Roses, Ride ...... Wolf Alice, BMTH, Creeper (and everything in between)

Wolf Alice - Heavenward - The Royal Albert Hall. 29 March 2026 youtu.be/3cg6pVu5vP4?si… via @YouTube
One of my great @wolfalicemusic moments. The lights went down and the unmistakeable notes that signalled that I was, at last, going to hear Heavenward again started. Emotional

@sithlordchloe I couldn’t believe this. First time I’d heard it since Kentish Town 2016. Hope you got back to Cardiff (we were queuing with you)
English

@BanquetRecords Will help in return for a RSD queue place 🙋🏻♂️

@prelude2dynasty Except at shows in the early days gjuha was always before sinner, so I always thought of it as the intro to sinner. Will be weird to hear it ‘out of place’

Pictures of @thecharlatans new guitarist emerge @BanquetRecords
(Was also special to hear ‘Then’ whilst wearing my vintage 1990 ‘Then’ shirt)
Thanks @Tim_Burgess

@Britpopmemories This band got a lot of press back in the day, but I saw them support the Charlatans, and honestly just didn’t think they were that good. Also arrogantly blanked us when we tried talking to them after the gig

@NME @samfendermusic Wonders why the Mercury was moved to Newcastle this year 🤔
English

.@samfendermusic has won the 2025 Mercury Prize – watch his performance of ‘People Watching’ at the awards show in Newcastle

@DISEASED0LL @ljhitchen I’d be interested in any reply you get. There were many people in the access queue that were promised a stress free managed entry only to experience absolute chaos at 7pm.
English

@ljhitchen hi, i’m going to email the eventim about what the fuck happened and was wondering if it was okay if i included the they said this
English

wom is that eventim apollo said if u aren’t in a wheelchair you don’t have a disability. and denied the fact they did not give access the first entry they need to be safe and comfortable. @EventimApollo you should be embarrassed and ashamed xx
English

@BanquetRecords @foals That gig at the Hippodrome (in right picture) was legendary. The shellsuit top was thrown onto stage, Yannis wore it for the gig and then there was a whole story of how the original owner tracked it down.

the 10th anniversary edition of 'What Went Down' has just arrived ahead of its release this Friday banquetrecords.com/foals/what-wen…

English

@thecharlatans So many great tunes on this, am sure all will be mentioned, so I am going to go for the lesser played ‘Believe You Me’ - great vibes
English

@Britpopmemories The ‘other’ B-Side ‘Whipsnade’ was superb too
English

This was Suede’s Oasis style single.
Why?
Because the B-Side “Killing Of A Flashboy” was one of their best ever songs. Just like “Acquiesce” was for Oasis when it was used as B-Side for “Some Might Say”.
Gigsintoon@gigsintoon
On this day in 1994 @suedeHQ released the single We Are The Pigs. The lead single from Dog Man Star, it reached number 18 in the UK singles chart. Tuneee!
English

@CoolerDan @milltownbros @LNFGlasgow @thecharlatans @TheBarrowlands You are right. 5 April ‘92. Which makes sense. My mate went out and bought Slinky afterwards then we watched them at Reading ‘92 and knew all the songs. Hazy memory coming back
English

@Sproston_Green @milltownbros @LNFGlasgow @thecharlatans @TheBarrowlands I think if it happened it might have been 1992 as milltown brothers (in their original form) split fairly soon after the King Tuts gig... (early '94)

Glasgow - This Friday!
We play at @LNFGlasgow HQ tomorrow
And in the LNFG shop on Saturday. Come on down!
Our last (?) gig in Glasgow was for the release of Valve in 1993 at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut… here’s the poster and setlist
What songs would you like to hear this weekend?

English

@renifanpage That was one of a series taken in Sweden for the article that ended up in Q Magazine July ‘90
